New Construction of Residential Facilities oriented towards Senior Citizens in Saalfeld/Saale

In the historical inner-city area of Saalfeld, a residential facility with 47 condominiums had been built. Grouped around a central courtyard, the four buildings formed an enclosed structure, which ensured a high degree of residential comfort in a central position.

Arcades connect the condominiums, which allowed communication between the residents, while simultaneously ensuring privacy thanks to their heightened balustrades. The balconies have ceiling-height windows, which ensure that people reclining have an unlimited view. They provide a great deal of light, an open atmosphere and a generous impression of the space. The residential units have floor space between 40 and 60 square meters, which thereby provide sufficient options for independence. All of the condominiums are barrier-free. Two condominiums have been specially designed to meet the needs of wheelchairs. The exterior design invites relaxing in the open and integrates the building harmonically with its environment. In addition to the new buildings, a renovated existing building also belongs to the ensemble. The new building on the street-side of the complex also offers two commercial units on the ground floor in addition to the condominiums on the upper floors.
