New Construction of the Friedrich Fröbel Kindergarten in Stotternheim

Two V-shaped building wings offsetting each other form the design idea for this kindergarten. The five group rooms and the associated toiletry areas are in the one wing. The other wing houses the children’s kitchen, workshop and rooms for the teachers. An area with multifunctional uses, which has been connected to the open area by a generous glassed area, stretches between the two wings.

The areas for the individual groups have been structured clearly. The structure is also clearly visible from the outside and lends the building its distinctive structure.

Many spacious exterior areas stretch around the kindergarten. In addition to space purely for playing, there are hutches for rabbits and hares and teaching and learning areas close to nature corresponding to Fröbel’s teaching approaches.
